You're all making me an emotional mess! Having taught Kindergarten and then later first grade and second grade, I SOOO remember how difficult those first days were. I mean, we had a lot of fun, made new friends, and discovered how the school worked...but those first few weeks were sometimes tough as the transitions were made going from learning mostly from parents to learning from a new adult. First grade and even second grade still, surprisingly enough, were met with the same transitions all over again. I hope you'll be writing down all of his first few stories of things happenings away from home. You'll both likely treasure them one day!
