Did I Really Do That?
What was I thinking when I committed to 30 posts in 30 days? I’m quite certain I may have momentarily lost my mind, but a commitment is a commitment and I’m barreling down the runway ready to pull up the landing gear August 1st.
You can help me reach the goal. Is there something I’ve previously written about that you wish I’d follow up with more information? Do you have a miscellaneous question or prompt you want to throw at me, a soapbox you want to invite me to stand on…go ahead, nothing’s off limits (I think) and you’d be providing sanity-saving medicine for this out-of-practice blogger.
Yes, this is a preemptive call for help.

good luck my friend… ah yes the over-commital guilty complex promise… been away to log so you have taken a huge bite… now if this was a gi-normous bite of a brownie the only repruccussion would be a long walk, perhpas some sit-ups – but not this one… better buckle down bestest friend… as we all kow the ideas are just waiting to pop out of that pretty little head! LOVE YOU!
Laura Thanks for the love, but WAIT…that wasn’t a question!! Did you mean to ask…”Tricia, tell us how much you really love dark chocolate brownies?”
You could talk about how you won’t play tennis with you pal Shiela. About how those little pink tennis balls have stared at you and tortured your dogs and son who would surely love to play with them…
You can do it … you asked …
Let’s hear about Montessori education! You have a great cause you have been writing about … abuse … the more the awareness the better! Some lovely pictures! You can do it!!!
Amy @ Six Flower Mom´s last blog ..Wordful/Wordless Wednesday – No Pockets!
Not taking the easy way out, but I like everything you write about. How’s about your school concerns for your son? Or your grandmother’s story?
Pseudo´s last blog ..Friendship Challenged by Parenting, a Spin Cycle
I like when you write about children’s issues. They need your voice.
You can do it!
Cheri @ Blog This Mom!´s last blog ..What Will You Celebrate?
I’m with Pseudo on this one – more about your family’s story! More about Aaron’s education! When does he start kindergarten? And yes, talk about the dark chocolate brownies (drool, drool).
Join the Spin Cycle for the month – I’ve found some of my best posts have come from this little writing assignment. There are all sorts of photo meme’s out there, and you just so happen to be married to a fabulous photographer.
Would it help if I joined you? (I can already hear Beloved screaming and ripping out his rapidly thinning hair…)
Oh,and speaking of your husband, have I mentioned what a doll he is? He’s keeping me SO entertained on FB.
Jan´s last blog ..So – Who Wants to Help Me Move the Body?
Jan, YES of course I want you to join me, and please tell Beloved that it’s all my fault and remind him what a good friend you are to share the pain.
I’m glad you’re enjoying Kim. He’s a trouble maker, for sure, and loves it.
AHA! You are nabbed! This was all YOUR idea – this NoSexThisMonthImBlogging deal!
Bring me a bottle of Aspirin and tell Kim to go right ahead and buy a Big Green Egg, cause he too will need a distraction until this month is over!
Our facebook thread should give you several good things to blog about. The underlying comment that Welch made leads to a good discussion about work/life balance (or choices) and their effects on careers (for Men and Women).
Then, communciation. How we filter what we hear to fit our preconceived notion about what someone else is saying. For example, how Steiner *heard* everything Welch said with her own issues filter the *meaning*.
How about writing style in the article generally? Could also be about fighting fair. Belittling, personal attacks, race/class war tactics all serve to distract from the issue and fan flames. Me (writer) good. Evil rich white man bad.
Of course, we can’t ignore the bigger issue. Mommy (& Daddy) guilt. The idea that we can do everything we want to do *at the same time* is ridiculous but somehow we all judge ourselves harshly for it. Women, in particular, are under enormous pressure to do it all…at the same time.
I’ll come up with more later.
Brad, Wonderful ideas and follow up. You’re right about the underlying issues that never were addressed in the thread, all of which I’ve been thinking about and pondering for quite some time. I could “easily” spur ten posts out of myself on these topics. Of course you’ll come back and participate in the dialogue, right?
Ah 30 posts in 30 days? You can do it! I am certain that anything you choose to write about we will enjoy, learn from and appreciate. Especially anything to do with Aaron.

Monica´s last blog ..Struggling… But Hanging In There!
Okay, I’ve been thinking about this and I have a loooong list of things that I think you can write about..Especially, since you’re so entertaining..it could be fun!!
-overextending our children-how to balance children’s activities with the need for free play. The importance of free play.
-the importance of creativity in school (from your perspective) and why you feel that is such an important issue for child and others.
-the importance of having “me” time to balance out work and family.
-do a blog about the conversations between five year old boys..I know my child could definitely help out on this topic!!
-I think you should do a blog on the challenges and wonders of having an unconventional family..
Okay, there’s more but my hand is tired..
These are great. This may be much more fun that I originally thought. Thanks so much for the prompts, these are all things I’m rather opinionated about!!!
opinions…… everyone has one and everyones is just as important as yours.
Try something new.
write about human nature, the weather here in VT. is hot right now, and when it is cool and raining everyone wants it to be hot, when it is hot they all want to go back to the cool, when it is snowing they can’t wait for summer.
Aaron climbing the fridge and how honest and innocent little kids are when you ask Aaron have you been climbing the fridge.
trust, noe that is a real issue all by its self, how once you loose it how hard it is to earn it back.
how about how much of a control freak you are, noooooo just kidding.
by the way have you got the wedding planned yet?
love ya
XOXOX
Oh and by the way how are the brownies that Shiela brought over that you are salavating over?
Love you More
XOXOX
Like a little piece of chocolate heaven!
How about some rants about tightening our belts in this economy and actually doing some of the things that we’ve known for a while were a better lifestyle. Like not going out to restaurants – it’s hard to find anything decent that’s family friendly and worth the money anyway not to mention the fact that sitting down together for a meal at least once a day is a great way to stay connected; asking yourself things like: “Do I really need this” while strolling the aisles at Target; or (and this is one of my personal worries) How much long term harm – with respect to intelligence, communication skills, and vocabulary – are our children going to experience from the advanced technology (IM’ing and texting)that’s available to them? Of course, we may need to consider what the long term effects are on us as the parents too! I know that I rambled a bit here, but you probably caught my drift!
Anything about women’s issues, body image etc. – those are my favorite topics, if you have the energy to write about them.
Vered – Blogger for Hire´s last blog ..Staycation
Do all posts have to be by you or just posted on your page? You might invite “guest” bloggers for various topics that they may be passionate about?? (I think Eileen should do politics

Danielle´s last blog ..Our Local Harvest
Danielle, I don’t think it counts if i have guest bloggers, but you gave me an idea. I could interview other people…hummm…my mind is spinning with that one.
I’m happy to read anything you write. That’s not much help, is it!

What’s Donna been up to? I always like to read your Donna stories.
Smart Mouth Broad´s last blog ..Sooooooo………
I know you can handle it, Tricia.
