This was really something to read. I totally agree with Jen’s comment. We really do get very wrapped up in the victim’s. I do believe that once an “abuser” begins to try to get help, then it is the “victim’s” role to do all that they can to see it from the other side. That is hard role to play as well. Very hard.

Kuddos to all three parties for being able to move on with their lives. Kudos for being able to write about it. It takes an enormous amount of courage to do so with such honesty…

Wow. It’s so hard sometimes to think of the other side of things. We get wrapped up in the victim, we forget the abuser is crying out for help too.

Thank you for sharing! Violence can be such a difficult subject to discuss and your honesty is wonderful. If more people would take responsibility for their actions and make positive choices, there would be more peace in this world! I believe that it takes honesty like yours to start this cycle!
