Motoring Mom Update #2
Just look at these spectacular finds from my inbox today. My motoring mom and motoring dad seem to be having a blast on their new motoring machine.
I’m not sure if these were taken before or after motoring mom passed her motorcycle driver’s license test. Regardless, I have one question…when can I go for a ride?
OK, so maybe I have two questions…do I have to wait for a midlife crisis to get one of these?
What’s brighter in this photo…the headlights or my dad’s smile?

These are wonderful!!!!
Nice! I was just catching up on your blog and was getting ready to ask for an update. But, being net-wise, I thought I should read first. An old net’ism — RTFM — came to mind. You may see it more politely abbreviated RTM these days. Back then, we never imagined that *everyone* would be online. It was our own little tech world. Lots of things were different then. In my first job out of college, I managed a mid-sized network for AT&T. We needed to expand our network. I remember giving Todd a little extra coin to help out. We had to drag *huge* cable in the ceiling alongside a bunch of other *huge* cables. It was a two man job. Sometimes three. The cable had to be tapped — actually drilled out so that the new connector touched the center wire — to connect a new device. That was ethernet — in the beginning. What a long way we’ve come.
I’m off topic. Congrats Mom! Nice job.
Oh, RTM = Read The Manual. I’ll leave the F as an exercise to the reader.
Fantastic pix! Glad to see how much fun you guys are having! Looking forward to the further adventures
It always catches me by surprise when a photo exudes such a strong feeling of happiness, excitement and accomplishment. Happy trails! I am confident that your adventures will be newsworthy… mmm perhaps a blog of your own Donna??????

Motoring Mom and Dad on this beautiful day in Vermont! Looks like fun! It made me smile to see you out!
Wonderful! I’m glad to know they’re out having a little fun. When I was in Vermont last week, I got to be Motoring Daughter and my dad took me for a ride on the Spyder. Lots of fun. And while I was there, Mom went for her first solo ride. Go Mom!
