Take Action…tell Congress to restore access to affordable birth control

While reading skirt! magazine , I learned that a legislative error has caused millions of college-age and low-income women to lose access to affordable birth control— a basic form of health care. These women are counting on Congress to act now. Planned Parenthood is working to help resolve the problem and there are currently several bills in play that could make it happen. Message sent! My question is, was this a ‘legislative error’ or some last-minute strategic maneuvering by the extreme right, who’d love nothing less than to outlaw birth control, abortion, or any other form of individual reproductive choice?

I vote for your theory on strategic maneuvering by the extreme right. S.O.Bs. And while we’re discussing political intervention in matters of choice and medicine, let’s include their disdain for stem cell research, but hey…they can shove us into a stupid war, kill thousands of our kids and children in Iraq while wasting tax dollars that would be so much better used here at home on our public education system. Wait, I said I wasn’t going to discuss politics on this blog…almost broke my own rule.
