I have a pretty wicked sense of humor, I know. But you have to admit this is smart. It’s fresh. It’s funny. It certainly stands out. I’d love to work with the agency who came up with this. Even more wishful is my intense desire to work with clients who would embrace this idea, but I digress…

How would I react if someone sent a box of chocolates to me with this packaging? Perhaps it would depend on which stage of PMS I happened to be suffering at that particular moment, and who the sender was.

If my sister or a girlfriend sent these to me, I’d probably laugh the extra ten pounds off my butt. If my husband presented these, I’d crack him over the head while making him endure some sort of female rant about male insensitivity…maybe…most likely I’d be laughing too hard to actually take aim.

Clients who are willing to take a risk, to do something truly different, and who aren’t just paying credence to the idea of differentiation…well, they are few and far between and they haunt the illusive sweet dreams of every creative…but I digress, again.

The back-side of individual Fat Pig Chocolates read, “Get your snout in this. Shove every single square in your face right now. And do it quick. Or some other fat pig might ask you for a piece. Oink, oink!”

They may want to consider adding a disclaimer that reads something like…”Attention men: Not all women will appreciate your charming wit. Fat Pig Chocolates are not intended as make-up candy or to sweeten your sweet heart’s disposition. If you plan to preset these to the special woman in your life, but you’re unsure what kind of day she’s had, stand at least ten paces beyond her reach, and we recommend carrying a box of tissues just in case.

Or how about: Discover immediately if your first date should lead to a second. When sense of humor tops your list of must-have attributes, present him/her with Fat Pig Chocolates.
